David Fometescu, guard from the CS Agronomia 4 Sports Bucuresti, picked up the Player of the Year at the Liga I. He received multiple other awards, was named the Guard of the Year, Domestic Player of the Year and was voted to the First Team. With Fometescu's excellent performance, the CS Agronomia 4 Sports Bucuresti achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 6 to 1 in the regular season. Fometescu was previously selected to the First Team and Best Prospect of the Year last year. He was the Player of the Week honoree in the league. He collected multiple other honors, was selected as the Forward of the Year, Bosman Player of the Year and was chosen to the First Team. With Mustiatsa's outstanding performance, the CSU Stiinta Bucharesti achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 8 to 1 in the regular season and 14 to 0 in the Round of 16. Mustiatsa received Player of the Week award in the league. He registered over 17 points and 4 rebounds per game that season in the league. Mustiatsa's 28 points against CSU ASE Bucuresti were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. He won the Ukrainian Higher League championship title in 2021.
Daniel Makasa, 16-year old power forward from the Leii Bucharest Under 16 team, was honored as the Center of the Year at the Liga I. He was also named to the First Team. Makasa had almost 13 points per game over the season in the league. He was voted Player of the Week in the league. Makasa led the Liga I in rebounds per game with almost 17. He has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 15 games on the year. Makasa's 32 points against CS Universitar Targu Mures were the most he scored in the 25 26 season.
Daniel Toma, 21-year old point guard from the Targoviste, earned a spot in the First Team of Liga I. With Toma's excellent performance, the Targoviste achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 8 to 2 in the regular season. He averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds per game in the league. Toma has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points and logged double-doubles in 3 games on the year. His 35 points against the Rm Valcea 2 were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. Among many awards he was selected to Eurobasket All-Romanian Liga I First Team in 2026.
David Orbulescu-Matesescu, guard from the CSU Stiinta Bucharesti, was voted to the First Team at the Liga I. He registered almost 14 points and over 5 assists per game that season in the league. Orbulescu-Matesescu has totalled 2 games of 20 or more points and notched double-doubles in 2 games on the year. His 26 points against Targoviste were the most he scored in the 25 26 season. Despite Orbulescu-Matesescu's young age he had an impressive career. He played in the final of the Romanian Under 18 League for two years in a row (2023 and 2024). Orbulescu-Matesescu was selected to the Eurobasket All-EYBL Under 17 First Team back in 2023. He was also selected as the Eurobasket All-EYBL Under 16 Honorable Mention back in 2022.
