Round 21 most important game was a victory of Leones over 4th placed Flecheros 83-70 on Tuesday night. It was a good game for Angel Fernandez (-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. ex-international Harold Barberena (179-1982) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Francisco Garth (195-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for Flecheros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones (17-3) moved-up to third place. Flecheros lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost.

Magdiel Rivera stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Alfredo Borge chipped in 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Shaen McMeo (-2006) with 14 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tipitapa moved-up to twelfth place. UAM Univ. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost.
TBN top team - Jaguares (19-0) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked La Libertad (7-11) in Juigalpa 127-54. Neyton Padilla nailed 22 points for the winning side. Leevon Allum came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds for La Libertad in the defeat. Undefeated Jaguares have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-0 record. Loser La Libertad dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 21: San Isidro was beaten by UNAN de on the road 77-68. Tigres were destroyed by Real Esteli on its own court 43-83. Brumas outscored Nicaragua U16 in Jinotega 97-52. Leon was rolled over Los Bufalos at home 71-125. La Trinidad defeated Academia PLAV on the opponent's court 69-54. Mineros beat Pescadores in a home game 95-82.
The most impressive performance of 21th round was 22 points and 14 rebounds by Norvin Mairena of Mineros.




UNAN de M. - San Isidro 77-68:
Everything could happen in Managua at the game between two tied teams. Both seventeenth ranked UNAN de and 16th ranked San Isidro had identical 5-13 record. This time UNAN de used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Matagalpa 77-68 on Tuesday night. UNAN de had a 42-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. American point guard Jordan Ramirez (178) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side and Jerssan Espinoza accounted for 20 points and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Anfearnnee Flemings came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Sidney Castaneda added 21 points and 13 rebounds respectively for San Isidro in the defeat.
