Germany  Perfect BBC Bayreuth II storm to 2. Regionalliga Sudost Nord title with flawless 18-0 record
CYBEX Talents BBC Bayreuth II completed a perfect season in the 2. Regionalliga Sudost Nord, clinching the Meisterschaft and promotion to the 1. Regionalliga Sudost on March 14 with four games still to play after a commanding 103-53 demolition of Dresden Titans III at home.
Coach Tim Nees 's squad finished the title-clinching matchday with a flawless 18-0 record and 36:0 points, building an insurmountable 10-point gap over second-placed Baunach Young Pikes (26:8) and third-placed Science City Jena III (24:12). The aggregate point differential of 1630-1138 across those 18 games — an average winning margin of more than 27 points — illustrated the gulf between Bayreuth and the rest of the division.
The title carried deep emotional significance for the club. BBC Bayreuth II had been relegated from the 1. Regionalliga Sudost as the division's last-placed team nine years ago, and despite numerous attempts at promotion in the intervening years, they had fallen short each time. Not even a mid-season injury to top scorer Noah Wabersich could derail them this time.
"Many different players carry this team," Nees explained after sealing the title. The collective depth rather than individual brilliance was the hallmark of the campaign — a reflection of the CYBEX Talents youth development philosophy that feeds the parent club's ProA squad.
The promotion ensures that BBC Bayreuth's second team will compete in the 1. Regionalliga — the direct feeder league to the BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProB — from 2026-27, providing an optimized pathway for developing talent to bridge the gap toward the first team. The BBC Bayreuth first team currently competes in the ProA, meaning the club will have representation across three tiers of German professional and semi-professional basketball next season.
The youth academy's broader success was underlined this season by the CYBEX Talents' U19 NBBL team, who qualified for the NBBL Playoffs and even pulled off a stunning 92-91 upset of defending champions FC Bayern Munchen in the first playoff round before bowing out in the deciding game.

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market. The most interesting game of round 19 was a home defeat of 3rd placed Flecheros (16-2) to second ranked Brumas (17-1) 78-70 in the game for the second place. It ended the five-game winning streak of Flecheros. It was a great evening for forward Herman Mullins (-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 ..
