Founded: 1946Team names: KK Svoboda (1946), KK Enotnost (1947-1954), ASK Olimpija (1955-1976), KK Brest Olimpija (1976-1978), KK Iskra Olimpija (1978-1982), KK ZZI Olimpija (1982-1983), KK Smelt Olimpija (1983-1997), KK Union Olimpija (1997-2017), KK Petrol Olimpija (2017-2019) In 2019 Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana merged with the Croatian team Cedevita from Zagreb creating new team Cedevita Olimpija. It was the first such instance of two clubs from different countries merging. The club is a part of the Adriatic Basketball Association, and competes in the ABA League and the EuroCup.
