In 1994 the club filed for bankruptcy. This is how the two towns of Rochin and Faches-Thumesnil split and created their own clubs, respectively RBC and La Mélantoise Basket (LMB)
In 2000, La Melantoise Basket merged with Lille Universite Club. Lille Metropole Basket Club was born.
