Founded: 1976 (as BC Azot in Tolyatti)
Re-founded: 2009 (as Krasnye Krylia) replaced bankrupt CSK VVS
In 1991 city Kuybyshev changed its name to Samara (held it before)
In 2002, CSK VVS was refounded and merged with BC Samara, to form a new club called "CSK VVS - Samara".
In 2015 the team withdrew from the league and later on was replaced by newly founded CSK VVS Samara

2013-2014: EuroChallenge: took 2nd place (4-2) in Group B of the Regular Season, took 2nd place (4-2) in Group I of the Top 16, lost to Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia (ITA) 0-2 in the Quarterfinals; VTB United League: took 4th place (9-9) in Group B, lost to UNICS 0-3 in the Quarterfinals
