History:
Founded: 1905
A football club, Boca's first incursion in Liga was back in 1989, and spent only one season in the elite, being relegated after losing game five against Sport Club. The team returned in the 1990/91 season, and since then, they always made rosters filled with stars and even then, in the 1991/92 they avoided relegation by winning game five of the last play-out round against football rival River Plate. Boa reached the semifinals for the first time in 1994/95 and was the league champion in 1997 in a roster that featured forward Jerome Mincy (Puerto Rico), center Luis Villar and Gabriél Fernández (Forum Valladolid) and guards Byron Wilson and Gustavo Fernández. In 1998 boca reached the final again, but Atenas swept them in four games. Boca reached the semifinals again in 2001 but this time Libertad stopped them. In this 2002/03 season, Boca starts as the main candidate for league title.
