History:
| Created in 1980 in Dakar, Senegal, the Association Sportive des Douanes (AS Douanes) won its first major Senegalese competition eight years later. AS Douanes has won Senegal’s national championship nine times, including four back-to-back titles from 2016-2019. Its coach has been named “Best Coach” every year since 2016. The team has a long history of players who have been selected to play in Senegal’s national team in international competitions, and many of its players have won individual prizes. Since its creation, the team has participated in one international tournament, the BAL will mark its second participation.
