Lebanon  Arakji returns to Al Riyadi
Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (DLBL) confirmed in their roster 31-year old international guard Wael Arakji (193cm-85kg-1994) moving fom Al-Ula in Saudi Arabian SBL where in 15 games he had very impressive stats: 18.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. 2025-26 was a great season as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian League Import Player of the Year, Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian League Player of the Year and named to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian League First Team. Arakji also played 6 games in West Asia Super League where he recorded also remarkable stats: 29.0ppg, 5.0rpg and 7.2apg.
Arakji has been a member of the Lebanese international program for several years. He has played for the Lebanese senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2012.
He also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers last year, where his team won Silver and he averaged over 20 points per game.
Arakji is a highly experienced player, having played in eight different countries on three different continents - Asia, Africa, and North America. He has played for teams in China (Royal Fighters), Kuwait (Jahraa), Qatar (Al Arabi and Al Shamal), Saudi Arabia, Tunisia (US Monastir), the NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks), and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
Among many awards, he was selected as the Asia-Basket.com All-West Asia Super League Final 8 Player of the Year in 2025.
