France  Espoirs ELITE Round 27 (Regular Season): Leader Cholet U21 gets another victory
The Regular Season in ProA U21 is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. The round 27 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Leader Cholet U21 delivered the twenty third win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Le Portel U21 (8-19) 108-67. Cholet U21 looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Le Portel U21's players. The best player for the winners was forward Gabin Lefort (202-2006) who scored 21 points. Forward Sublime Gbiegba (203-2005) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Senegalese guard Nfaba Mane (196-2006, college: Seward County) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet U21 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-3 record. Le Portel U21 at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with ASVEL U21. Cholet U21 are looking forward to face Boulazac U21 (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Le Portel U21 will play against Limoges U21 and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Nanterre supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Monaco U21 (19-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Nanterre U21 (15-11). Monaco U21 did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 101-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nanterre U21. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Mantas Laurencikas (189-2006) who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Maxim Klitschko contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Youssouf Yatabare (205-2006) answered with 28 points and 6 rebounds for Nanterre U21. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco U21 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Nanterre U21 at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Monaco U21 will play against Strasbourg U21 (#5) on the road in the next round. Nanterre U21 will play against the league's second-placed Dijon U21 and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Other games of round 27 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Nancy U21 was defeated by Chalon U21 in a road game 84-72. Bourg U21 beat ASVEL U21 at home 90-78. Gravelines U21 was destroyed by Monaco U21 on the opponent's court 98-78. Strasbourg U21 outscored Limoges U21 in a home game 83-42. Bottom-ranked St-Quentin U21 was rolled over Le Mans U21 on the road 109-72.
The best stats of 27th round was 31 points and 10 assists by Hugo Nguyen of Le Mans U21.



Chalon U21 - Nancy U21 84-72

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Nancy U21 (7-20) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Chalon U21 (12-15) 84-72. Chalon U21 outrebounded Nancy U21 37-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for Swiss guard Klark-Luca Riethauser (189-2008) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Mateo Vigneault (185-2008) contributed with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Adrien Chammartin (197-2006) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Ivorian point guard Malcolm Laubouet (175-2006) added 14 points, 5 assists and 7 steals in the effort for Nancy U21. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chalon U21 maintains ninth place with 12-15 record. Nancy U21 lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Boulazac U21. Chalon U21 will play against higher ranked Paris U21 (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nancy U21 will play against Le Mans U21 (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bourg U21 (19-8) defeated at home 11th ranked ASVEL U21 (8-19) 90-78. Bourg U21 made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for forward Ahmad Dekaki (203-2005) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Leni Monnet (196-2006) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Bourg U21 players scored in double figures. Bourg U21's coach Nicolas Croisy used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bourg U21 have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Strasbourg U21. ASVEL U21 at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Le Portel U21. Bourg U21 will play against bottom-ranked St-Quentin U21 (#16) in Saint-Quentin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ASVEL U21 will play at home against Gravelines U21 (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
