Founded: 1950
The Saar-Pfalz Braves came from the basketball department of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . Kaiserslautern Braves GmbH , founded in 2007, took over the license for the 1st men's team of 1st FC Kaiserslautern for the 2nd Bundesliga after the 2006/07 season. Thus, the Braves and 1. FCK were legally separated and only cooperation partners in the amateur and youth field.
